Editor’s Note

As readers to the newsletter know, our purpose statement is to explore our writing skills through articles about the craft of writing or about our faith in Jesus Christ.  I have often stated that the editorial staff will not accept articles dealing with politics or political issues.

But with recent unfolding of historical events that negatively impact the conservative and Christian communities of our country, I find I must break my own editorial guidelines.

I do so with one word: VOTE.  We are coming upon an election that may very well impact our country for the next hundred years.  If you have not registered to vote, please do so.  If you are registered to vote, then make plans to go to the polls in November.  Understand the issues and the candidates and vote the way you feel best expresses your biblical viewpoint.  The oft quoted words of Edmund Burke have never been truer: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
